KADPOLY EMBARKS ON NEW DEVELOPMENT- DEAN SAYS

The dean college of engineering, Dr Aliu Muhammed has described the new development in kaduna polytechnic as a revolution to what it was since 1990s.

Muhammed Aliu make this known during the interview by Hassan Ibrahim and Gidan Moses of Department of Mass Communication kaduna polytechnic that, “the management has commenced a National Diploma (ND) in Railway engineering technology program in the 2019/2020 academic session. This follow the approval granted by the National Board for Technical Education (NBT) through the courtesy of Alumni association.

“With this new development, kaduna polytechnic is the first higher institution in Nigeria to commence National Diploma (ND) program in Railway engineering” he said.

Dr Aliu said, the institution have sponsored ten (10) of academic staff for various courses in Railway engineering in India. The staffs are from various departments in college of engineering. Where we have( 2) staffs from mechanical engineering department (2) from electrical, (2) from Agricultural engineering department and (4) from civil engineering department.

According to him, the management are still working to ensure that some new courses like water resources engineering, methodological engineering, cement technology, and weathering and fabrication engineering department are to commence as soon as the fund were released.

While speaking on the new development, “the management are collaborating with an agency from India to organize a program called “Intral-net where students from various campuses will be networking.

The students reports that there are enough accommodation for the advance program.

The Dean however, commends efforts of rector of the institution, Prof Bugaje for giving students a room of interaction with the students of the institution.
